"Our rivers are the blood of the earth. Without water, nothing survives, there will be no life. We need our rivers to survive" Bruce Shillingsworth (Muruwari and Budjiti man, First Nations artist and rights activist). Australia is the driest inhabited continent and the amount of rainwater that enters its rivers is very low. We are currently facing a water crisis but most are unaware because sources of water supplies are out of sight, out of mind. Water mismanagement, corporate greed and capitalism has killed our rivers and now first nations communities need to lead ongoing decisions.
